Rob Pugh & Dave Hunt host a visit from Hitachi

Lead by Hitachi Rail Europe’s Sourcing Manager Rob O’Hara & Hitachi High-Tech’s Junichi Hara manager from Hitachi’s Group Global Business Department. Hara San translated on behalf of his two Japanese colleagues Ikuya Hirano & Tomohiro Morioka both from the Category Management Group Kasado Procurement Department. Design was a key feature in our discussions but the Hitachi team were duly impressed by the Assembly division at Long Acre Birmingham experiencing first hand the high quality standards of the assembled Electrical Cubicles and Insulated Ducting manufactured for the Intercity Express Train being built at the Hitachi Rail Europe Plant in Newton Ayecliff.
